Rose randjes

Na de eerste cursusavond voor mijn randjes quilt kreeg ik spijt van mijn stof keuze. Ik had gekozen voor een rose gebloemde randstof, maar helaas kon ik deze stof niet spiegelen. Daar had ik echt de P...over in en besloot nog een randstof te kopen. Dat werd een blauwe Jinny Beyer stof, hiervan hebben jullie al gezien hoe dat geworden is.

 

After the first course evening I regretted the choice of my fabric. I had chosen for a pink border fabric, but it there was no mirror in this fabric. I was very disapointed for this and decided to bought an other border fabric. That became the blue border fabric from Jinny Beyer. You have seen the top.

Maar ik moest van mezelf de rose stof ook gebruiken en dat heb ik gedaan. Ik heb tegelijk met de blauwe blokken ook de blokken gemaakt van de rose stof. En ja hoor, ik heb nu alle rose blokken klaar en ben bezig om ze in elkaar te zetten.

Ik moet zeggen dat het grappig is om het verschil te zien tussen een stof die je kunt spiegelen en een symetrische randstof. Beide waren de moeite waard om te maken. Nu nog het laatste stukje van de rose. En dan liggen er weer 2 tops meer te wachten om gequilt te worden.

 

After I bought the blue border fabric, I decided also to make a pink top. So i did, all the blocks were made in blue and pink. And now the pink blocks are still ready and wanted to became a top.

I have to say that it was worth to make blocks with both fabrics. In the blue fabric there was a mirror in the fabric and the pink one was more a symetric border. It is really nice to see the result of both and making them. This moment i 'm busy with sewing the top from the pink blocks. And when this is ready there are two more tops waiting to be quilted.
